Thanks for visiting my site. This is mostly my thoughts and a bunch of stuff I think is cool. You never know what you might see or what I might be up to. I am a bit eclectic in my interests from music to science, religion to math, science fiction literature to self improvement books.

About Me

Ricky Pope moved to Oklahoma in Jr-Hi and graduated from Owasso High School. Following Ricky attended Hillsdale FWB College in Moore, OK and graduated with a BA in Music. After college Ricky began working in churches in the Oklahoma city area and taking Masters course work at the University of Oklahoma and Southwestern Theological Seminary. Eventually becoming the bivocational worship pastor of Grace FWB Church in OKC where he has served for over 12 years and working full time at Fowler Productions in Norman, OK as a design engineer focusing on projection, audio, and lighting designs for churches.

Our First CD

Our church just produced our first CD. We recorded the whole thing in my home studio. We used a low budget and a fast track production process. For the tools we had at hand and then money we had to use, it turned out pretty good. The band played each of their own instruments on the CD and I did the recording, mixing, and mastering. We have some great musicians. I did a few of the solos but used the others for most of the songs. All this on an older Mac and Garage Band. We pushed its limits.
